Noma All-Wheel-Steer Lawn Tractor, 18HP Kohler V-Twin
This is the first drive of a Murray or MTD built Noma Performance All-Wheel-Steer tractor with an 18HP V-Twin Kohler Command engine. We bought it for 0 last Sunday, and had just unloaded it from the truck to take a look at it. It appears to have been sitting a long time, but fortunately someone ran the gas out of it, so the carb wasn’t damaged. The engine runs super smooth and quiet too. It’s a shame the tractor itself is such a mess; the choke knob is broken off, there’s no brakes, reverse doesn’t work, and the steering gear is messed up which is why I had to keep getting off and fixing it. The scraping sound is the belt on the deck, which is also messed up. I’m kicking myself because just a few weeks ago someone nearby had 2 Scotts branded parts tractors up for sale on eBay, and they were identical to this Noma.

Our damn Husqvarna wont steer to the right either because some dumb ass striped the steering gears, so now to take a right we have to take about five left turns to make a right. LOL
do you still have the noma i would like to have the trans ihave a lowes that is the 4 wheel steer it looks just like the noma just blue mine needs a transmision ihave rev but no foward it is the best mower that i have had

My tractor shoots what looks like smoke (not a lot of it) out of the breather tube. Is this normal?

I would but the Bolens takes a horizontal shaft engine. I did get an engine for it though, also a v-twin Kohler, just need time to put it in!
since a tree fell on the noma you should put its engine on the bolens 1700

I mow a persons lawn that has really big ditches its along the highway and one of her mowers from going back and forth across the ditch screwd up the Kingpins? i think on the front end and the steering is really hard to turn it is a pain in the but but i figured out its easier to go up and down its probably 35-40% grade

with the 14HP vanquard engine an hydrostatic drive
you should try and rig that transaxle to fit into the front of another tractor for 4wd.
