Question by help: I have an MTD lawn mower. It starts up fine but when I go to engage the blade, the motor dies.?
I’ve checked all the safety switches and they seem fine. The mower will run fine as long as I don’t engage the blades. HELP!

Just a thought

Do you have a reverse button that allows you to keep mower running while in shifting in reverse?
If so check to see if that is stuck
