Question by yumdainiel: lawn tractor?
I am looking to purchase a lawn tractor. I have aprox 1.5 acres of grass, flat to hills , and some uneven areas. what lawn tractor would you recomend? john deere, cub cadet, troy built, ect…… what hp, deck size
looking in price range of 00-2000
I am looking for something that mulches well. my yard is too big to bag, rake or collect

I suggest that you look at the zero turn mowers. They cut faster and maneuver easier but may cost close to k. If you stick with a conventional rider, I would suggest a minimum of a 48 inch cut and at least 18 hp. I am partial to John Deere but have not owned any of the low priced models which they sell at Home Depot and Lowes. I have had excellent service from the JD’s which I have owned.

    very nice.. I want to do a starter hydraulic project like this to get a better understanding of how hydraulics work. And someone said you can get all of this at the harbor freight? what is the cost of the hydraulics needed? Is there a web site that shows more details on how it was built?

    Very cool! Nice job on the setup- i like the craftsman with the plow blade and rear hitch lift.

    Northern tools is great- like a guys toys r us…….i buy stuff there all the time- im glad theres a couple outlet stores about a half hour away.

    Electric pumps run the battery down. Brandon says he gets most of his stuff (pumps, valves) out of Northern Tools. :)
